TERMS OF 20% SECURE SERVICE
Overview
This service is referred to as 20% Secure.
20% Secure checkout is a Lay-Bye alternative payment solution by Diamond Corporation SA ®.
This payment option allows a customer to secure an item immediately by paying only 20% of the full purchase amount.
Key Terms:
— The price of an item is fixed for the first 30 days.
— Customers may choose between 1 to 4 months to complete payment.
— Once the final balance has been paid, the order is activated and dispatched within 7–10 working days.
— Account balances and statements may be viewed under Track Your Order.
— Payments may be made online at Online Portal.
— For sale amounts below ZAR 10,000, the secure payment option defaults to 50% Secure Checkout.
Price Protection
Items purchased using 20% Secure are subject to price changes after the first 30 days of payment due to exchange rate fluctuations and commodity price changes.
Any item paid in full within the first 30 days remains protected from price changes, and the item price will remain fixed.
Exceptions
The following exceptions apply to all items purchased using 20% Secure:
Exchange Rate Variation
If the ZAR/USD exchange rate fluctuates by more than ZAR 0.50, the sale price will be cancelled and a new sale price will be issued.
In this case, the buyer may cancel the order and receive a full refund of any amounts paid within 30 days.
Commodity Price Variation
If metal or diamond commodity prices increase by more than 10%, the sale price will be cancelled and a new sale price will be issued.
In this case, the buyer may cancel the order and receive a full refund of any amounts paid within 30 days.
